Lego Technic 42078 Mack Anthem motorized & Christmas special

I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas with this video and thank you for your support!

The Lego Technic 42078 Mack Anthem received additional rc functions with the lights and the motorized trailer, controlled by 2 SBricks. The light sequences of the container are also controlled by one of the SBricks. The trailer has 2 Power Functions L motors built in. Also tested with M motors but they could not handle the load. Please note that this is a test RC mod, so there won’t be any instructions for the time being. I’m planning to do a proper rc conversion and I’ll share that one in details.

The upgraded container interior is based on the following alternate build of 40223:

This is my first proof of concept RC mod of the 42078 Mack Anthem truck with Power Functions Servo motor and L motor, controlled via SBrick. I’ve also posted some updates and correction of my review published yesterday. I was informed via the comments how to properly operate the crane so I did a test again and apparently the whole structure is much more stable when the trailer is connected to the truck. As you can see I’m not an experienced crane operator or truck driver but I’m learning quickly 🙂

Lego Technic 42033 + 42034 + 42035 3-in-1 RC mod

I’d like to share a small but agile creation – the remote control mod of the 42033 + 42034 Extreme Off-Roader combined set. Additional parts (mostly for steering) were used only from the set 42035 Mining truck.

The sets and Power Functions components are:

There are multiple options for the remote control:

For the video I used the 8878+SBrick combination as the control was easier with an USB gamepad through the SBrickcontroller app. It turned out to be a very fun little car, pretty quick considering the size. Enjoy the video!

Disclaimer – if you make a purchase of the parts/sets listed above on Ebay or Amazon then you’ll also contribute to my future Lego projects.

Lego Technic 42069 RC mod with Power Functions and SBrick

After building the 42069 Extreme Adventure set the next challenge was to motorize it. Luckily the set has a spacious internal structure, it is pretty easy to squeeze in several Power Functions components. The aim was to add the Power Functions parts without taking apart the set completely or to change the original structure, so obviously there are more elegant ways to hide all the motors and to upgrade the suspension and the drive train. The list of the added elements:
