Lego Technic 42069 Superleggera RC mod – buggy motors & BuWizz

After my first RC mod of the 42069 set I wanted to build something faster 🙂 The plan was fairly simple – remove every non-vital part (including the fake V8, sorry), streamline the body as well, finally add 4 buggy motors and 2 BuWizz units. The result is pretty fast considering the size and the tracked wheels, check out the video:

  1. Hi
I gut the 42069 regular model and i want to buy only the kit to motirize it
    Do you sell it?

    Refael

    • Hi Refael! Not at the moment, but due to the high demand I started to work on that. I’ll let you know when that upgrade pack will be available.

  2. Hi

I used your instructions to mod the 42069 with 4 L motors some while ago, now I replaced them with the new Buwizz “buggy” motors.

Unfortunately it won’t work with one Buwizz only (right now I only have one Buwizz 2.0).

Do you think using two buggy motors (one front and one rear) with one Buwizz 2.0might work? Otherwise I guess I will buy another Buwizz (or maybe two Buwizz 3.0? have you tried Buwizz 3.0 yet?)

    Best regards!

    • Running 2 buggy motors with 1 BuWizz 2.0 rarely works, only with moderate load and in normal mode maximum. I tried BuWizz 3.0 but not yet with the buggy motors, will do that test in a few weeks.

-> Didn’t you run 2 buggy motors with 1 Buwizz in this model?

    • Yeah I apparently did, but it had 4 motors therefore they did not get a high load, and I don’t think it was used in ludicrous mode.
