LEGO Powered Up Hub & motor test in 42065 RC Tracked Racer
The new Powered Up system offers a lot of possibility to extend the control range of the previous motorized Power Functions creations. So far only the Boost motor and the WeDo 2.0 M motor is compatible with the new hub apart from the train motor that comes with the new train sets. I paired two WeDo 2.0 M motors with the Powered Up hub and built it in the 42065 RC Tracked Racer to compare the performance and the playability with the Power Functions system.
I also tested it with the new Powered Up iOS app that has a profile available for the 76112 App controlled Batmobile.

LEGO Technic 42075 First Responder RC mod
This is the remote control modification of the LEGO® Technic 42075 First Responder. This time instead of more powerful and expensive components this mod uses only the Power Functions elements of the set 42075 RC Tracked Racer with a few other extra pieces and it is still very fun to play with 🙂
LEGO Technic 42065 RC Tracked Racer optimized version
The LEGO® Technic 42065 RC Tracked Racer is one of the rare sets that is remotely controllable out of the box with the necessary Power Functions elements. It is a very good introduction to the world of Power Functions, but it has some room for improvement – the speed is pretty decent but the climbing abilities can be enhanced.
Lego Technic 42078 Mack Anthem test RC mod images
I made my first quick proof of concept rc mod of the Lego Technic 42078 Mack Anthem truck to see which motors fit and how in the chassis using some spare parts I had. I did not plan to release any instructions or images about it as it was just a test and I will do a proper RC mod sometimes in the future.

This is my first proof of concept RC mod of the 42078 Mack Anthem truck with Power Functions Servo motor and L motor, controlled via SBrick. I’ve also posted some updates and correction of my review published yesterday. I was informed via the comments how to properly operate the crane so I did a test again and apparently the whole structure is much more stable when the trailer is connected to the truck. As you can see I’m not an experienced crane operator or truck driver but I’m learning quickly 🙂
Lego Technic Stunt Truck & Stunt Bike slow motion jumps and crashes
You can see two Lego Technic pullback sets in action today – 42058 Stunt Bike and 42059 Stunt Truck are doing jumps and crashes in 180 fps slow motion 🙂
agrof’s class 1 unlimited buggy on steroids – building instructions
I finished the building instructions for my buggy motor mod of agrof’s class 1 unlimited buggy. Please note that these are not complete instructions, the aim was to show you the main modifications I made on the car. There’s no part list either this time. I tried to highlight which part/sequence needs to be changed compared to the original build. I was using 2 BuWizz units to power the buggy motors, the units were replacing the seats in the cabin.

agrof’s class 1 unlimited buggy on steroids – Lego Baja 1000 race car with BuWizz & Buggy motors
The 50th Baja 1000 off-road race will take place next week so I wanted to create a Lego tribute video to this fantastic event. The best vehicle to choose was agrof’s class 1 unlimited buggy which is a great build, highly recommended to everyone! As usual I made some modifications, the car is upgraded with 2 buggy motors and 2 BuWizz units. It also has 2 SBricks added so I can swap the BuWizz units with Lego battery boxes. My version lacks the fine details of the original vehicle as I was afraid to loose parts at high speed 🙂

Obviously the biggest change was to swap the 2 L motors with buggy motors. To integrate the buggy motors I had to rework the rear suspension as well. The IR receivers were replaced with SBricks.
